Apple upgraded today all the previous iPod models and introduced a new iPod model, iPod Touch - an iPhone-like iPod (but without the phone features). All the other models have have a full metal design and are much smaller but even more powerful. iPod classic (the previous "big" iPod) features a big space upgrade: 80 GB or 160 GB and iPod nano now supports video.
Also, iPhone 4 GB model was discontinued and the 8 GB model suffered a huge price reduction: the new price is $399 instead of $599.

Apple quitely upgraded Mac Mini today. These new models come with a processor upgrade (1.83 GHz for the entry model and 2.0 GHz for the "better" model). Also, 1 GB of RAM is now standard, the hard drive has now a bigger capacity (80 GB or 120 GB), a GMA 950 is included. The upgraded iLife (version '08) comes bundled with this new model.
The price remains the same: $599 for the first model and $799 for the second one.

Apple released today new versions of iLife and iWork. These programs now come with new features and a much simplified UI.
iLife has a dramatically improved GUI in all its programs and iWork adds a new spreadsheet application (like Microsoft Excel), called Numbers.
Also, the .Mac service was updated to add a better integration to iLife '08 and "extend" it. More storage space and the Web Gallery feature are just a few of those improvements.

New ultra-thin iMacs were released today. These new models are faster, brighter and come only in 20-inch and 24-inch models. 17-inch model was dropped.
The biggest update was the processor: now 2.0 or 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo, or 2.8 GHz Core 2 Extreme processor (quad-core!!).
This new product has been released in the Apple's today's event.

As you probably noticed, the site has been down for a few days. This was longer than I expected, however the site is now back again running phpBB 3! None of the extra stuff (screenshots, polls, etc) from our previous site have been added, however you can expect them to return within the next week. I would have added them before making this new site live, however I felt that I ought to put the site back up.

As usual with any site upgrade, I've probably broken something :). So, if you encounter any issues, you can PM or Email me. Current known issues are that some signatures and posts have their BBCode broken, and some smileys aren't showing. Signatures: can be fixed by rewriting the signature in the User Control Panel. Posts: You'll have to live with it, new posts won't have this issue. Smileys: Same.

As an added bonus, spam should have been eliminated ;) Anyway, sorry for the downtime guys/gals, and I hope this new site will improve the performance and stability of the site. Thanks!
