PearPC 0.5.0 released

There is a new release of PearPC from the official site! Wow... it has been a long time since we've seen one of those.

Changelog says:

version 0.5 (released 13. July 2011):
- slightly better code for lmw/stmw opcodes
- use "GNU as" instead of nasm
- use -mdynamic-no-pic on *darwin
- fixed some strict-aliasing problems
- JITC: AMD64 support
- compiles with gcc 4.3, 4.4, 4.5

I successfully compiled an AMD64 binary on Ubuntu 11.04 64 bits, and it runs OK as long as don't move the mouse in guest OS (OSX 10.4 Tiger).
Doing so for a few seconds just freezes the mouse, while the console infinitely spits "[IO/CUDA] <Warning> Event processing timed out. Event dropped."

This very same bug was present on a Redscorp's release. He managed to fix it in the next build.

According to some Darwin developper I talked to, this could be related to a non-emulated video framebuffer.

And... More blowniness : Redscorp has reviewed the 0.5 code and said he will submit his patches to the devs...

With the end of PowerPC emulation in OSX Lion, we may find a second life to PearPC
