Thanks, this will help a lot.

I found a way to create "your own Linux disribution" guide:

Yeah, I have seen this, and used it several times now.

So, this will be an OS that [b:1a4c2e103a]looks[/b:1a4c2e103a] like Mac OS X? Ok, so will it be able to run OS X apps and if so how?

SoftPear isn't anywhere near being useable.
[/quote:fdffd09362]Yeah, still listed as planning on sf.net IIRC.

Oh, not this again. It's not actually possible. It's been tried, and nobody's ever got anywhere. Our best bet is to stay with pearpc.
Well, If I thought it was important, I would have highlighted, circled, boxed, scribbled, cut out, photocopied and laminated it!

I have to agree with jchowland and ELv13. I am not bashing this project, but PearPC is all about [b:b56fdc332f]actually running OS X[/b:b56fdc332f]. I think it would be better if the community would ban together and find a way to use a stripped down linux kernel and boot into PearPC. PearPC seems to be the best way to go so I think we need to make PearPC fast as possible and actually run OS X. Just my thoughts, no insult or bashing intended.

[/quote:cbad0ec9e4]No, it's not. PearPC is all about being a PowerPC architecture emulator.
