And today it emerges that the likely bombers were all British. That's an unexpected revelation (by me at any rate).
There was speculation in the days immediately after the bombings, that Blair & Co would use this as propaganda to promote ID cards. Whether or not this was likely, it certainly wouldn't work now.
I guess it really says something for Multicultural Britain that our own citizenry is quite capable of forming groups to indiscriminately murder innocent members of same. And like the last groups to do so (the Irish Republican and Loyalist terror groups), they come from an area of the UK where there is hatred at a community level. Nowhere is Anglo-Saxon/Asian emnity stronger than in the North (though I'd say central Scotland where I live is a close second).
There has to be something in this. The bombers may have been influenced by forces beyond the UK, but poison like this couldn't filter so deeply into a united community.
