[/quote:8b034c44a7]Yesterday, Deutsche Telekom introduced a pilot-program for new ADSL2+ technology. In Stuttgart and Hamburg you can get a 25 MBit/s DOWN and 5 MBit/s in UP.

We've got that in the pipeline as well - but one company owns the copper connections and it won't let anyone else go near them with newer tech.
Well, If I thought it was important, I would have highlighted, circled, boxed, scribbled, cut out, photocopied and laminated it!

That would probably be the same in Germany if the administration wouldn't force Deutsche Telekom to let others use their copper connections.

I'd like to point out the difference between kBps and kbps quickly, as it seems the terms are being mixed improperly. kBps is kilo[b:073d213f6b]bytes[/b:073d213f6b]/second while kbps is kilo[b:073d213f6b]bits[/b:073d213f6b]/second. There are 8 bits in a byte. So don't say you connection is 150kbps when you mean 150kBps...
