I just tried to install Tiger from the DVD directly (no images) using 'nativecdrom' and it worked fine. I used the prasys 2 channel IDE build, set my panther install as IDE0PRI, my Tiger install destination as IDE0SEC, my DVD-RAM drive as IDE1PRI an used it in nativecdrom mode. You'll have to ignore the errors you get in the cmd window, they didnt seem to cause any problems.
I then booted my panther, ran the terminal command line to change 10.3 to 10.4 (bypassing base system error)... ran osinstall.pkg did a FULL install w/o errors, went into startup disk (in panther) change the boot disk to the new tiger install and restarted. I then changed the cfg file and reversed the ID0PRI and IDE0SEC img's. Booted Tiger and it seemed to work w/o hassle.
Then i had to goto work

, so when i get home ill post some more info.
