My PearPC Build (faster than SDL)

Postby huntedsnake » Sun Jun 13, 2004 10:42 pm

Try my build of PearPC for linux with the newclock patch (JIT Pentium4 Optimized), It doesn't display the icon bar at the bottom in Mac OS X, but it runs much faster than even that latest version of SDL+newclock build from richardgoodwin site. I have Pentium4 3.4Ghz cpu and Red Hat 9, it is running very fast for me, especially the applications are loading very quickly as compared to SDL and other builds.

Try it and tell me the results. Sometimes it may crash when u run it the first time, so try to run again. Use the ppc.cfg file, just change the harddisk and cdrom image locations. When its running, its pretty much stable. Here is the link:

Is this just a rebuild, or did you modify the code? Since PearPC is released under the GPL, if you modify the code, you must release the source code with any binaries.
