When I do that, PearPC compiles, but then fails when it is linking the executable

a new sound patch is on the way, and i will add support for this when the sound patch becomes available

I would make a X gui for it in Cygwin if only they had a free dev enviroment that supported VB code.

It is quite simple to create a GTK GUI. There is a program for shell scripts called Xdialog, that make graphical dialog boxes, etc.
