Re: <Error> memory->claim failed!

hello

first of all thx for the quick reply...
but it is still wrong
on all memory sizes i got the same error

[CPU/CPU] execution started at 06601e10
[IO/PROM] <Warning> 05800000 in use!
[IO/PROM] <Error> memory->claim failed!

and only in ppc 0.4 Smile
the strange for me is that the ppc 0.2 or 0.3, didnt find any bootable part. and i cannot figure that will i get the same error if it was OK...

any other idea?

We can't see what site you are looking at.
Anyway, to clear the nvram:
1. Open your PearPC folder.
2. Delete the file called "nvram".

this error is trying to say that the memory what the ppc needs is already in use somehow?

i saw that in the windows task manager my memory status (now im use the 256 mb memory option in ppc what u wrote in ur post)

the physical memory (K)
total 1gb
available 700-600mb
system cache 100-200mb

kernel memory (K)
total 58972
paged 31992
nonpaged 26980

Are you using Mac OS X x86 Intel disk? If you are, it will not install on PearPC, because PearPC uses PowerPC compatible disks.

The claim error occurs even before pearpc tries to boot, so it does not have to do anything with x86. Just decrease the memory size specified in the pearpc config file.

Now that you have gotten that far, you need to install Mac OS X, making sure to format the disk image using the Disk Utility.
