And if they get it working, you can run X86 under PearPC on XP on a real Mac... Seems a bit wasteful and bizarre, but... interesting.

[Edit] Err... I meant OS X, not X86.... Although isn't OS X for X86 a dual-platform DVD? That is, I think I read that you can use that DVD for both PowerPC and Intel... [/Edit]

I dunno I would just put virtual pc on it. Much Much MUCH easier then trying to boot..Plus you have to get alllllll the drivers which I don't think will be very convienient.

Even Vista can't boot on new IntelMacs. let alone XP...

Not YET, because EFI support is not complete in current builds.

I bet Apple will have their own interpretation of Intel's EFI standards, so I'm not sure if OS X will be able to run it.

Intel mac mini, 1.66 ghz core duo, 310gb hd, 512mb ram, osx 10.4.8+windows XP
