10.4.8 Released

Apple has just released the 10.4.8 update. It is available through Software Update.

The 10.4.8 Update is recommended for all users and includes general operating system fixes, as well as specific fixes for the following applications and technologies:

- connecting to wireless networks using the EAP-FAST protocol
- Apple USB modem reliability
- using OpenType fonts in Microsoft Word
- compatibility with 3rd party USB hubs
- scanner performance
- RAW camera support
- printing documents with Asian language names
- performance of the Translation widget
- broadband network performance
- security updates

There are some things I do not know. We can run Tiger on PearPC, and we all know that 10.4.6 or higher may reverse or even halt emulation. Even on an unofficial 0.5-pre release, what is up with 10.4.6 from there to now?

I think not. I've tested the PearPC 0.5pre-snd published here and 10.4.6 still doesn't work.
I also think Mac OS X Tiger support is very limited. I encourage you to use Panther in PearPC.
